If you are considering football for your child, it is our opinion that you join at the earliest age possible. The minimum age for many of the leagues is six years old. All football leagues assign children to divisions based on age and weight to ensure the safety of the players. For the concerned parents, the likelihood of injury is much less at the younger levels and the early training prepares the child for more aggressive play as he gets older. The more experience the player receives, the greater the likelihood he will stick with the sport and he’ll have much more fun.
